@BlackAzizAnansi @monkeyninja It's particularly frustrating right now because not only are the economic pressures unreasonable, but given the (maliciously) negligent manner governments are not doing enough to handle covid, being forced to split a place with people who may not agree on covid protection methods then make it potentially debilitating or deadly.

Well, it's a good thing I spent the afternoon splitting wood. We are getting 6 to 12 inches of snow tomorrow with more this next weekend. And no warm days to split more. I have about 20 banana boxes of firewood in the shed if I run low. And 11 boxes in the house. That's a week worth.
That's what I started the season with. Two tiers. I stacked the second so high you can't see the first one. It's only 6 feet high.

N95 respirators are actually very good at blocking both the largest and smallest particles, while medium size particles are actually the hardest to block. The N95 doesn't stop particles like a sieve, but uses the notion that any airborne particles that touch a fibre in the respirator will stick and not become airborne again. 10/

It is not the fibres themselves but because the size of the particles are so small, everything is sticky at a microscopic scale. The van der Waals forces between molecules is more than enough to hold very small things in place. 11/
Because I am a hermit essentially, I only use a mask once or twice a week. Will use one tonight. 6"-12" of snow tomorrow. So will be buying milk and eggs.
I have two types. Will be using the black kn95 mask at the local market. I also have the kf94 masks that have only 3 of the filter layers. I use those in Warehouse stores where I have to walk quite a bit. Easier to breathe through.
@webuiltthiscity the particles accumulate and stick to the filter material over time. They aren't going to all fall off into your mouth if that is ...
They are going away for awhile. The maximum is 20 years and the judge will be looking at their record. Guys like this will have one.
