⏺Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, stated in an interview with Sky News that Ukraine is preparing for a potential maximum escalation of conflict in the coming weeks. He did not rule out any scenario, and noted that Russia could launch an offensive against Ukraine from the south, east and north. Approximately half of the more than 320,000 soldiers mobilized in Russia are expected to take part in the new large-scale offensive. Danilov believes that the main battles are still ahead and will take place within two to three months, which will be decisive months in the war.
We are in the final stages of getting ready for the EU-Ukraine summit this week. This week should be a true celebration of European integration for Ukraine. We anticipate positive news from our European Union partners that will reflect the level of cooperation between our governments and the progress we have made, even in the midst of a full-scale war. We are carefully examining the situation in all major areas of operation and for the long term. We are aware of what the occupier is planning and how we are already responding to Russia's plans for retaliation. I thank everyone who is defending the state, fighting for Ukraine, and protecting Ukrainian positions at the front, as well as those who have destroyed enemy positions. Glory to Ukraine!
