I'm not saying people have a basic inability to assess and react to threats, but Twitter is still abuzz over a single spy balloon from China, a nation with over 260 spy satellites in orbit. Meanwhile, a mutating virus is causing economy-damaging levels of disability, and fewer seem to care. It's easier to rattle sabers at China than to #WearAMask, I guess.
Looking more and more like I left Paradise, California just in time. I left in 2013. In 2018 the entire town was destroyed by a firestorm moving at speeds up to 60 mph. Now it's just one thing after another.

Earlier this evening over on twitter, a follower put me on a tweet with nothing but @s, including me there were 21 of us. In the follow-up reply they said it wasn’t so much a follow-Friday list as a “wanted dead or alive” list
I immediately muted the tweet & didn’t even ❤️ the post.
I know people mean it as a friendly gesture but to me, being in such a LONG list of tagged accounts feels like a hostile act of notifications bombing
