We are working to simplify bureaucratic procedures for weapons production, — Roman Kostenko, the Secretary of the National Security Committee:
💬 Our legislative framework is largely adjusted for peacetime, so we have to make managerial decisions and simplify the issues of manufacturing certain things, licensing the activities of certain entities. This is necessary to enable more companies to manufacture weapons. This is not only support for the army, it is also a deterrent factor, because the enemy will see that we are doing everything to win, the parliamentarian said.
🔹 russia is rebuilding its defense industry under sanctions. It does non-technological things, they are simple, but unfortunately, effective on the battlefield. Therefore, we need to do everything possible to develop our defense industry and adjust it to the realities of war.

🔹a smaller part of the liver was transplanted into one-year-old Luka from the Zhytomyr region - without the operation the child would only have lived for several more months;

The International Football Federation (FIFA) allowed Russian youth teams to participate in the U-17 World Cup.
They approved this decision after a similar one from UEFA, which allowed juniors from Russia to participate in European competitions.
Russian teams will play under the name "Football Union of Russia", without a national flag, anthem and equipment with Russian symbols.
◾Earlier, the football associations of Romania, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland, England, Ukraine and a number of other countries opposed UEFA's decision to allow Russian U-17 teams to compete. They promised to boycott Russian teams and not play with them.

Had an accident out on the 4 lane. A Lincoln town car started to turn right, then changed her mind and turned left across my traffic lane. Car is totalled. I am sitting in the emergency room waiting for them to read the X-rays. I think a rib is broken and possibly the little finger of my right hand.
Ukraine independently provides the sea corridor; no grain deals are needed
The Ukrainian maritime corridor, which opened thanks to the Ministry of Infrastructure and the military, recently demonstrated the ability to receive/release 8 ships per day. This is the same amount as we sent last fall, when the agreement on grain between Ukraine, the Russian Federation, the UN and Turkey was in effect.
According to the project manager at the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, Andrei Klimenko, Ukraine, through the efforts of its defenders, has demonstrated that it is capable of independently ensuring the safe route of the same number of ships per day as it was during the operation of the “grain corridor” under the auspices of the UN.

Ukrainian Invisibility Cloak: A Game-Changing Technology from Brave1 for Defense Forces
Ukrainian innovators have developed an exceptional defense solution against Russian thermal imaging cameras and thermal imaging-equipped drones. This innovative cloak effectively shields fighters from thermal radiation, rendering them virtually invisible to the enemy, especially for operations involving snipers or Special Operation Forces groups.
Notably, the design of this technology is both compact and lightweight, weighing in at just 2.5 kilograms. It boasts impressive resistance to rain and wet snow, ensuring operational effectiveness even in adverse weather conditions. Additionally, this remarkable raincoat is fire-resistant and offers protection against high temperatures. Field tests have proven its reliability, as demonstrated in the accompanying video with a finished and successfully tested sample.
Russian textbook claims German unification was 'annexation', — DW
A new Russian history textbook describes the reunification of Germany as the "annexation" of the communist East. German historians say it distorts history and fits the anti-Western narrative of the Putin regime.
It's been 33 years. On October 3, 1990, communist East Germany, the German Democratic Republic (GDR), officially joined West Germany. 45 years after the end of the Second World War, Germans were reunited in one sovereign state.
However, the current Russian interpretation of German reunification is causing irritation among German experts and historians. In a new Russian high school history textbook, German reunification is referred to as the "annexation of the GDR." The book was published in September 2023. The authors are Vladimir Medinsky, former Russian Minister of Culture and advisor to President Vladimir Putin, and Anatoly Torkunov, the rector of the Moscow Institute of International Relations.
According to Zaur Gasimov, lecturer in Eastern European history at the University of Bonn, the new textbook "perceives reunification in the context of then-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev's perestroika policy, which, from the perspective of the Russian establishment, helped trigger the collapse of the Soviet empire. It is viewed by Medinsky and the wider establishment as an important milestone in the "movement of the entire East Central Europe and the Baltics towards NATO and is and condemned as such," says Gasimov, adding that this could possibly explain "the radical change in terms from "reunification" to "annexation."

Armenia ratified the Rome Statute of the ICC, which issued an arrest warrant for Putin
The document was supported by 60 deputies, 22 were against. Armenia began the process of ratification of the Rome Statute at the end of 2022, and the document itself was signed by the Armenian side in 1999. It still needs to be signed by Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan.
The approval of the Rome Statute also means that, theoretically, during a visit to Armenia, Russian President Putin and children's ombudsman Lvova-Belova could be detained in connection with an ICC arrest warrant issued against them.
The Kremlin called this decision “extremely hostile” towards Russia. Now the route to Yerevan for the bunker is closed.
Large-scale special operation in the Nikolaev region: one of the largest Russian intelligence networks during the war was neutralized
It consisted of 13 local residents, the SBU reported.
What is known?
▪️The attackers collected intelligence about the locations and movements of the Defense Forces in the southern region and corrected Russian air attacks on the city’s housing and social infrastructure.
▪️It was on their guidance that the Russian occupiers struck a multi-storey building in Nikolaev from the S-300 air defense system in the fall of 2022 (7 civilians were killed, including a minor child).
▪️The informants transmitted these data to the FSB through a “connected person” - pro-Kremlin blogger Sergei Lebedev (known under the pseudonym “Shaggy”).
As a result of operational actions, SBU officers identified all members of the Russian agent “Shaggy” and detained them at different places of residence.
The defendants are currently in custody. The court found four members of the enemy agents guilty of committing crimes and sentenced them to 8 to 15 years in prison.

Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania have reached an agreement to establish a "green corridor" for the transit of Ukrainian grain to the port of Klaipeda, as reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Under this agreement, veterinary, sanitary, and phytosanitary controls for all agricultural cargo heading to the port of Klaipeda in Lithuania will be shifted from the Ukrainian-Polish border to the port itself. This move is expected to expedite the transit process through Poland.
The agreement was made during an online meeting involving Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Mykola Solskyi, Poland's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Robert Telus, and Lithuania's Minister of Agriculture, Kästutis Navickas. Both Poland and Lithuania expressed their support for this control mechanism, considering it a constructive step by Ukraine.
The ruble is falling, but you hold on: Peskov said that there is no reason to panic due to the growth of the dollar
Putin's press secretary urged people not to pay attention to the falling ruble. In his opinion, close interest in the dollar exchange rate is “a vestige of the past,” and Russians need to “get used to living in the ruble zone.”
This morning on the Moscow Exchange the dollar was worth 100 rubles, for the first time since August 14.
