1. History is not there for you to like or dislike.
2. History is there for you to learn from it.
3. History offends you? Even better. Then you are less likely to repeat it.

Read this out loud, then read it again. Then teach it to your children and grandchildren.

Can the promise of "free" raise college attainment? Lessons from the Milwaukee Area Technical College Promise

"We conclude that the message of college affordability was effective at encouraging students to overcome application barriers and enroll in college." edworkingpapers.com/ai22-614

Looks like a revisit of the "what will it take for people to leave the site" we have seen the spikes and I will continue to argue that many of Musk's investors are as happy to see the bird app burn as they would to see it work in any capacity. Destroying critical voices and independent journalism and reporting is the end goal.

Looks like more shenanigans going on at the bird app... I think I got some video from Elon's office on the latest decision making...

Just presented an overview of our #ClimateJustice work in teacher education to the WA statewide network of teacher ed faculty and leaders (WACTE). We are working to expand efforts to integrate climate and environmental justice across teacher education. Nice connections surfaced!

Here are the overview slides about the Climate Teacher Ed Collaborative I used…

Just a quick moment to raise my middle finger to Meta and everyone else who thinks it's okay to bring back Donald Shitwagon.

New study finds "no substantial evidence of any biological advantages for trans women competing in elite women's sport."

"'What threatens women's elite sport, for cis and trans women, is not trans women, but is rather misogyny in the form of underfunding, non-parity in participation and leadership, inequitable sport space allocation/access, and a range of sporting opportunities not afforded to women...in equitable ways.'"

Hey all, would appreciate a post boost on this one.

I, unfortunately, got laid off last week and am looking for a new job! If you know of any going that fit my skillset of video content creation, educational CG writing, CG generalist then I'd love to hear about it!

5. The new policy in Manatee, which is likely to be duplicated across Florida, was issued in response to HB 1467, which was signed into law by DeSantis last March.

That law established that teachers could not be trusted to select books appropriate for their students.

2. Officials from the Manatee County School District confirmed the new policy to popular.info.

The policy was communicated to principals in a meeting last Wednesday.

Teachers are in the process of being informed now.

3. Teachers in Manatee County lamented the news on social media. "My heart is broken for Florida students today as I am forced to pack up my classroom library," one Manatee teacher wrote on Facebook.

@ZingerLearns Yep. It should have been a pick-6. Dak narrowly avoiding a safety on the very next play showed how lost he was near the end of the game.

My contribution to #nfl mastodon: The racist dude that owns the Cowboys keeps refering to his franchise as "America's Team" and I just want to point out that most Americans don't like to be associated with has-been racist losers. ijs

The only thing that surprised me was that Dak didn't throw a 3rd INT, I fully expected one at the end there.
Goodbye
Would be great to see a rematch of the 1987 Superbowl

@Hey_Beth those 2 are definitely the top 2, but Kraft at least has some Superbowls in the last 2 decades. Both of questionable moral character
