reading my students' reflections about what they have learned about academic writing in my class this semester reminds me two things that cannot be said enough:

🗣️ PRE-WRITING IS WRITING TOO!

🗣️ ACADEMIC WRITING REQUIRES A LOT OF PRE-WRITING!

[context: they report having felt guilty because they are "not writing" ...but the work they are doing is the wind-up to producing text]

Ok, it's been 3-weeks since I've joined Mastodon and here's my take away so far:

1. White folx prioritizing their fuckin feeling OVER their IMPACT of their racist behavior

2. I'm thankful that I was strategic in joining the instance I'm on because, due to their efforts, they've DEMONSTRATED their INTENT to prioritize voices like mine

3. As a Black women, there's no truly safe space for us

It's pretty clear from the criminal charges filed yesterday that SBF (allegedly) misused customer funds to pay celebs to give FTX the patina of legitimacy.

Since this money was essentially stolen, shouldn't the celebs return it?
