After finally holding my nose and messing with #ChatGPT it quickly becomes apparent the whole thing runs on intellectual property theft on a massive scale. The information has obviously been scraped off the Internet but it's been recombined, mixed and laundered through their system to a degree that any one person could never identify their own content in the answers that come back.

Is this a breakthrough? I suppose from the #SiliconValley perspective of finding new ways to exploit labor it is.

@sethhalleway Definitely reading it aloud (even if it's just in a whispery voice). It forces you to really read each word, so it's much easier to spot grammar errors, missing/duplicate words, some typos etc.

I am very concerned about the future of AI. Not because of the risk of rogue machines taking over. But because of the homogeneous, one dimensional group of men who are currently involved in advancing the technology.

Hey GOP folks — if your candidate doesn’t immediately, clearly, and firmly respond to white supremacist supporters by telling them there is no room for their bullshit in this country, then your candidate is telling those white supremacists that they are welcome in your party.

For instance, if people with literal actual real for real swastika flags and DeSantis 2024 flags are rallying in Florida, and DeSantis doesn’t immediately tell them to get fucked, he supports them.

Wait is the chain with the crystal ball end one of those pull-handles for flushing? Or is the golden horizontal bar a lever for flushing? If the former, is the golden bar a toilet paper holder? Or is it a towel bar that there's no towel on because Trump doesn't wash his hands?

It is heartbreaking that the UK government mistreated Alan Turing. Many AI tech enthusiasts may not be aware of his contributions to the field.
