@jaycee That's exactly what someone who keeps tomatoes in their van overnight would write.

Elon Musk and racism

@dankennedy_nu @mergerson @dkiesow I don't know about you, but I don't plan on buying any newspapers or clicking on their links any time soon.

Reactionaries are predictable, which renders them easy to manipulate. It's time to exploit that glitch for the good of our future. Screw taking the high road; it's time to win at any cost.

Attempts to build a trainable deep neural network based on an avian connectome unfortunately fell fowl of a parrotty error.

I’ve become old enough to realize Walter Peck from the EPA was 100% right to try to regulate the Ghostbusters’ storage containment unit.

@EarthOne I never had the urge to join Twitter, and at this point, I can't understand why anyone is still there. Hopefully it will fade away into irrelevance where it belongs.

1836. When Texas declared independence from Mexico after Mexico outlawed slavery, the early government was so devoted to slavery and to white supremacy that they wrote it down, explicitly and at length, in the constitution of the new republic.

@futurebird Holy cow! I did not know that! I would have thought that the winters were too harsh, but life finds a way. It would seem like a precarious existance this far north, so I suppose Climate Change will make them even more difficult to find.

@futurebird Amazing! The variaties of lifestyles in ants is astounding. I ran across some Polyergus last year stealing some pupa to take home. Not sure of the species, but I didn't know we had anything that exotic right here in Indiana. Always more to learn.

AI Generated Websites with Fake Authors

@Remittancegirl That very conveniently fits right in with the plan. Misinformed, disinformed, and uninformed voters are more likely to vote against their own interests.

@futurebird @matthewmeyer Not many ants around here that can overpower a Camponotus. The Polyrhachis must be a tough customer. Does she use those spines for anything?

@LaurieWinkless @TheGuardian Reactionaries are so predictable, it seems like that would make them easy to manipulate. I don't know why we don't exploit that tendency more.

@clavdivs The Man From UNCLE, right? Coincidentally I just recently watched that. It wasn't as good as I remember, but it was nostalgic.

No man talks about his honor so much as he who lacks any.

Capitalists love the “invisible hand of the market” until the market says the value of labor has increased

I woke up early on recycling day and I noticed that they sent a regular garbage truck instead of the recycling truck. I think they stopped recycling. Well, we will just have to do it ourselves. Here is how to get started. youtube.com/watch?v=EZekQTq0Oq
