@PabloMartini @StillIRise1963 It's all part of the plan. They incite violence until it gets so bad that Martial Law is declared. Then once the worst effects of Climate Change become so bad that there are riots for food and water, the wealthy will be kept safe by the Military dictatorship. It's more convoluted and less just than creating a better society, but it also requires less sacrifice from the exploiters.

@empiricism @ScientistRebellion Precisely. The only thing I would argue with is that they aren't planning ahead. It's been the plan at least since Reagan, and maybe as far back as Eisenhower, to move the Overton Window farther and farther Right. That way, by the time the worst effects of Climate Change are in full swing, an authoritarian military dictatorship will be in place to keep the wealthy safe, and keep the poor isolated in those neighborhoods on the other side of the super-highway, where they can't threaten the comfort of the Fat Cats.
