@StillIRise1963 My step-dad was a cop, and he mentioned several times how he and his co-workers enjoyed shooting dogs. And since then, I've had other experiences that lead me to believe that it is a common trait of American police.

“Ace was at the house next to our house that he always goes to when we take him out to do his business,” said Justin Fuller, 18, the dog's owner. “He spotted an officer and began trotting up to him, and when the officer saw Ace, he looked at me and then looked at Ace and just shot him.”
"Fuller said the officer did not give any warning or command to get the dog before shooting him."

A question for people who have moved from one Mastodon Server to another.
I would love to know the reasons that you changed instances so I can better understand what people like, and want, in the Fediverse, and don't like.
I moved once, but only because I wanted to run my own instance. I loved the instance that I was on (social.linux.pizza) before coming here.
Please share. Boosting is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
@AdamStuartSmith @Twarda I've had my account set that way since before the Twitter migration. It just always seemed prudent. So many cool people came over from Twitter, that we forget that there are some dark corners that we don't go to.
