I saw a woman sleeping. In her sleep she dreamt Life stood before her, and held in each hand a gift — in the one Love, in the other Freedom. And she said to the woman, ‘Choose!’
And the woman waited long: and she said: ‘Freedom!’
And Life said, ‘Thou hast well chosen. If thou hadst said, ‘Love,’ I would have given thee that thou didst ask for; and I would have gone from thee, and returned to thee no more. Now, the day will come when I shall return. In that day I shall bear both gifts in one hand.’
I heard the woman laugh in her sleep.

@NPR Well, I can't go to Walgreens and now I can't go to CVS either. It's a good thing that we don't allow monopolies and that there are so many small independent drug stores on every city block.
@futurebird Totally agree. Writing a book has become part of the grift. They buy a bunch of copies of their own book, then give them away on a radio station or something, and like magic they are a now a "New York Times Bestselling Author." I'm sure any valuable information that the book may contain, will be discussed on a reliable news source.
My reading time is too limited and valuable to give any of it to that.
I'm tempted to read Cassidy Hutchinson, but I have a policy of not buying or reading such "tell alls" when I think the person could have come out sooner and done more. And most of it will come out anyways. It's not like she is a writer with something to say. Making a book in her situation is just the obvious thing to do.
Has anyone read it?
@xianc78 Look at how proud they are of themselves. Wow, they really taught a lesson to that menace to society.
@juliaserano I agree. Debating with those people does no good. Instead they try to make it appear that a certain topic is controversial where no actual controversy exists. It's the same tactic they use to deny Evolution and Climate Change. They have no actual proof for their claims, but they do have finely calibrated logical fallacies and rhetorical tactics that make winning a "debate" difficult, no matter how correct one is. A skilled debater could win a debate on the premise that "water is not wet" using their tactics, but water would still be wet.
so I was provoked into writing a response to the ridiculous "What Is a Woman?" question. it's a 5 min read, no-paywall link, please share & give it lots of "claps" (up to 50) so other folks on Medium see it! https://juliaserano.medium.com/what-is-a-woman-a-response-8f91aaf3a971?sk=e3493a6676c0e8373b311da8bd4a950a

Perhaps you recall predatory inclusion from the #GreatFinancialCrisis, when predatory #SubprimeMortgages with deceptive teaser rates were foisted on Black homeowners (who were eligible for better mortgages), resulting in a wave of Black home theft in the #foreclosure crisis:

Before these loans blew up, they were styled as a means of creating Black intergenerational wealth through housing speculation.

#Google is trying again to convince you, YES YOU, to contribute for free to Google Maps.
Please don't.
It is 100% #proprietary, Google has full control over the data you added and people can only access Google Maps over proprietary channels where Google dictates the rules. This gives them too much power.
Contribute to #OpenStreetMap instead, it's a project by the community, for the community.
