Intro post: PALEOCENE is a comic book series by @keesey about our tiny primate ancestors who survived the asteroid impact that ended the Age of Dinosaurs. keesey-comics.com/paleocene/

@thatguyoverthere Sorry I was still half asllep when I replied to you, and I didn't see the whole post. I read what you wrote and i read the linked article. We could keep going back forth throwing facts at each other, but I don't think that will help either of us to evolve our perspectives. So I'm just going to ask you one more question. Hypothetically, what would change your mind?

@thatguyoverthere Sorry I didn't see the second article. I will read it after breakfast and get back to you.

@thatguyoverthere
I'm not sure why you posted that article. I wasn't asking you to convince me that people can post fake news on the internet. I don't need to be convinced of that.

What I was asking you is, why you don't think that humans burning fossil fuels has any effect on climate change.

@thatguyoverthere I don't think CO2 is the biggest enemy to life either. In fact I don't think I've ever heard anybody say that. Give me your best evidence for why Climate Change isn't anthropogenic, and if it is convincing, I will change my mind.

@thatguyoverthere Please tell me exactly what you believe, and if I think your evidence is convicing, I promise I will change my mind.

@thatguyoverthere I could very well be wrong. I am not afraid to change my mind when I am presented with convincing evidence. In fact, my favorite saying is "we can't both be right, but we can both be wrong"

@thatguyoverthere You seem very confident about that. What is it that gives you the confidence?

My doctor told me I have Baader–Meinhof. I had never heard of it before, but it turns out I'm seeing a lot of it now.

@prickle@mastodon.online Maybe you're on to something. I had a room-mate that I kept too long, and he got squishy and smelled bad. No way I was going to eat him though.

@prickle@mastodon.online It must have been quite a sacrifice for the poor little things. It just goes to show the extent of the onions love for us that they would do that. And to think how we mistreated them all these years.

Why do we cry when it's the onions that are getting hurt?

is it ok to have a cat outside to help with mice and rats, considering cats are bird killers (but rats are invasive too..)?

@punkscience I used to read that comic when I was a kid. In fact I think I have a couple in storage. Interesting that they brought it back after so many years.
