One of the things I used That Other Microblogging Site for was Tales from Drop-In Time. However I mostly use Mastodon from the desktop and don't see a way to create threads from the desktop (i.e. pre-write a series of maybe 6-8 toots and post them all at once). Is there another desktop masto app that does this? I checked and I think the answer is no? But maybe I missed something. I know there are mobile apps, but that is not what I want. Ideas? Mac platform.

Two years ago, when Axios ran a Q&A with Kellyanne Conway, I wrote about media's role in the reputation rehab business"

"Allowing one of the most visible liars of government over the last four years the ability to be seen as a serious person diminishes the work and power of journalism."

Today, the NYT gives her a whole column.

Turn the tables on them. Are you looking for a job? You should be interviewing them to see if they deserve to have you for an employee. Are you looking for an apartment? If they want you to prove that you'll be a good tenant, then they just proved that they won't be a good landlord, so keep looking. Nothing will ever change if we don't change it ourselves.

As climate change approaches the point of no return, remember—after September 11, 2001, the FBI declared that environmental activists were enemy #1.

As temperatures soar, remember how politicians passed legislation to protect fossil fuel profiteers.

As hurricanes pummel the coast, remember how the cops swabbed pepper spray into protesters' eyes.

As flash floods destroy towns, remember all the people they brutalized at Standing Rock.

As forests go up in smoke, remember how riot police charged the crowds so they could expand the open-pit mine at Lützerath.

As the polar ice caps melt, remember how prosecutors charged young people with terrorism for trying to protect the environment that we all depend on.

Remember who is responsible.
If not for their violence, we could have dealt with the ones who are driving climate change long ago.

In return for a few dollars, they are forcing the end of the world on us.

Moderna is planning to charge $130 for its COVID vaccine, but the vaccine only costs $2.85 to make.

Meanwhile, over the last two years, the company made over $19 billion in profits off the vaccine.

Folks, this is what corporate greed looks like.

Trying to think of an extremely shiny poppy late-90s pop song that I can’t pin down. Something about a garden? Like extremely disposable? I’m trying to say Meredith but I don’t think that’s right based on searches.

"The truth has no defense against a fool determined to believe in a lie."

If Elon Musk can afford to lose $200 billion in a single year, he can afford a wealth tax.

Sometimes a "healthy debate" is really a malignant diversion.

The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful. They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Remember: We have more in common with each other than we do with them.
