Glass bottles here have a code identifying their type molded into the bottom. All supermarkets have machines that count and sort bottles, and give out deposit coupons. These reusable glass bottles are used for almost everything from beer through soda and including water. The system handles both standardized bottles and manufacturer-specific ones.

Last week, as we reported on "It Could Happen Here," Christian Nationalists are protesting drug stores in a push to ban access to abortion pills, and thanks to pressure from Republican attorney generals, Walgreens announced that it will now "not dispense abortion pills in several states where they remain legal...either by mail or at their brick-and-mortar locations in those states...The list includes several states where abortion in general, and the medications specifically, remain legal — including Alaska, Iowa, Kansas and Montana."
