Today would have been Trayvon Martin’s 29th birthday. He was not the first Black person to die because of white supremacy, but his death was highly publicized and IMO a major catalyst in re-igniting the conversation about systemic and police violence against Black people. Happy Birthday, Trayvon, I wish you were here to celebrate. #BlackHistoryMonth

I just would like to point out that
none of the accounts I was forced to create for job applications so far had any options for multi-factor authentication or for deleting the account.

And all of the accounts I was forced
to create for job applications so far required to enter very sensitive information that was completely unnecessary to require.

Don’t. Do. This.
Please. Stop.

I just peer-reviewed a forensic analysis in a case.

The suspect mailed a package with a hidden Apple AirTag in it to a victim's old home address.

The package was forwarded to her new (and formerly safe) address....

Might be good to warn DV victims of unexpected mail.

Since the industrial revolution, over 50% of the world's forests have been destroyed, which fills me with profound disgust. The exploitation of natural resources, driven by profit motives and Capitalist structures, has led to irreversible environmental consequences, not only in the disruption of Earth's biodiversity, but also in exacerbating climate change. This is a clear example of the flaws inherent in systems that prioritize profit over the well-being of the planet and its inhabitants.

One reason asylum is a human right is to NOT repeat the SS St. Louis atrocity, in which FDR rejected ~950 Jewish refugees escaping Nazis. Forced to return to Germany, ~250 of those Jewish refugees were killed in the Holocaust.

Now, the GOP Speaker wants to completely ignore history and once again strip asylum as a human right.😐

This is immoral and wrong.

The elevator I was just in got a robocall on its emergency phone.

My invention, the Pedestrian Crossing Flail-Mace, is an improvement over flag-based systems.

Gift ideas:

"To Wilhelm, Hainhofer offered a vast array of goods, from Jodocus Hondius’s beautifully illustrated and expanded edition of Mercator’s Atlas—a guide to where treasured rarities came from—to “Indian” feathers, skirts, rings, and bowls from the East Indies and “a stuffed rat from Lithuania that warded off insects from damaging clothes.”"

Skepticism and questioning assumptions are inherent to scientific inquiry and have led to significant advancements. While there are limitations, science continually evolves to explore previously inaccessible realms. Scientific knowledge is provisional, subject to refinement with new evidence and understanding. The scientific method itself encourages adaptability and correction based on new data, decreasing the risk of dogmatism.
