Since Mastodon leans techy, I’m hoping the message gets to the people who need to hear it:

Stop using a single indicator light that switches between red & green to indicate states. It’s meaningless to red/green colorblind people like me. Do multiple indicators, consider blink vs fully lit states or whatever.

I've probably tooted this absolute unit before, but here's Saltasaurus, or Saltapotamus as I like to call it, a #sauropod #dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous.

I've never really had imposter syndrome, but wow, sometimes I feel like I know nothing about animal anatomy.

What keeps me from feeling like an imposter is I'm pretty sure virtually no one does. It's lost knowledge that we palaeozoology sorts are trying to bring back.

Discovered today that my shoes uniquely make an incredibly LOUD ‘Squeak-Fart’ (Squart?) noise on the polished floor of my local super market.

It was early, it was quiet – too quiet, there were shoppers on every isle. What I needed was a few hundred steps away at the back of the shop. I took a step. ‘SQUART’. What to do?

It didn’t matter how I placed my weight, ‘sQuArt’, or altered my gate, ‘SQuArT’.

I went slow, ‘Sqquuaaaarrrt…’, I went fast ‘SquartSquartSquart’.

Disaster, no good options.
