Doesn't surprise me at all, but then again, fuck you, Facebook, anyways. I'd actually be fine with that? Friendica for the win?
RT @voss@twitter.com Facebook for Bridgy seizes to exist, thanks for all the goodness. Unfortunately, Facebook tightening up their APIs results in astep back for interoperability. snarfed.org/2018-08-03_rip-fac

RT @voss@twitter.com: Been looking for a good bookmark tool for a while, and came across github.com/shaarli/Shaarli. Excellent little tool. Imported my bookmarks from del.icio.us and raindrop.io without a hitch. One more piece of my puzzle falls into place.

@hasmis I've heard of that. Will have to find it. I need a better client than either the web or the one I use on Windows. I still hate the fact that even in the web interface, links show up as broken up into two lines, unless you use Halcyon, that is.

@LWFlouisa Whether port 80/443 are blocked, hard to tell; Comcast, at least, has this weird thing sometimes where they will keep it opened for a little while, and then block it for three months, then open it again. No one can make up their minds. drives admins like us nuts.

@wakest I watched the presentation from Staltz about that; sounds cool, though still a bit foreign, even to me.

if anyone is in #Brussels and looking for something to do tomorrow (the 1st, my birthday) my friend Zenna is doing a talk about Scuttlebutt

@twdockery My one server, right now he's running Hyper-V with one dinky little domain controller (active directory) on him, but he will be a file server and actually use the space he has once I figure out the situation with my second unit (either a Dell powerEdge R420, or my friend's existing supermicro). The second unit will have a bunch of random stuff; domain controller/DNS server, DHCP server, and then other odds and ends; mostly dev stuff for the development side of mine and my friend's org. If you need to DMZ some XP systems, then you ought to get a switch like I have and create a VLAN with the router in the middle to ensure that both networks can communicate with each other.
