The kiss is certainly fanservice, if you will. But not excessively.
Very much reminds me of "My name is Alice... and I remember everything."
Which was apparently Milla Jovovich.

She does seem to randomly kill a few perhaps-innocent people near the beginning. I suppose we're supposed to assume she super-knew that they were bad guys...

There is a level of nuance to piracy, especially book piracy and why it is unfortunately necessary in some places. But it must be noted that if you have the means to do so… please support your favorite authors in whatever way you can. That especially applies to using your library and requesting books for purchase if you have a functional library system. Use it or you’ll lose it.
I don't know why I like #Lucy (2014) so much. The science ("We use only a small fraction of our brains") is utter twaddle. I didn't realize that was Scarlett Johansson; she's good! But the basic "ordinary person gets super powers, fights bad guys, transcends time and space" is somehow very appealing. I could watch several (interestingly different) takes on this!

I saw white Southerners pretending to move "with all deliberate speed to integrate" institutions, while refusing to move an inch.
And since that time, I've seen over and over the ravages that systemic racism and racial injustice inflict on US society, because our society as a whole has refused to move towards racial justice. Those ravages are on glaring display in the Trump era.
The problem is not moving quickly. It's the refusal to move at all.

If you think an LLM is a better partner for you than a junior programmer, you have both identified a very serious problem in your org, and signaled clearly that you're a significant part of that problem.

I know it's tough; lots of us have been where you are. It does get better! But the sooner you can get past that bitterness and self-hatred and the need to feel superior for a second, and let yourself be kind to yourself and others, the sooner you can heal.
