Mississippi is America’s Blackest state. It’s mostly white MAGA Govt annually rejects $1B in Federal $ for Medicaid. Now the last hospital in a rural part of MS is about to close—devastating Black & low income people.

MAGA racism & cruelty on full display. Like the old saying goes. Republicans claim government doesn’t work—then they get elected and prove it.

I just realized that the icon is specifically named #blobcat #coffee and I think that’s outrageous! What about our #Tea drinking population, we have faced erasure for too long!

A better society would let people who travelled or otherwise saw lots of people they don’t usually see (say, during the holidays) isolate for a week, as not to spread sickness to their colleagues.

Incubation period. Asymptomatic carriers. And rapid tests have false negatives.

These cats live outside a restaurant in Kawasaki. The restaurant's owner feeds them and makes sure that their little houses are warm in winter.

On the bottom left mastodon server's version is shown. If it's >= 4 then you can edit all of your toots :)) And yeah, mastodon gives you freedom as in speech, not beer (but pun)

A lot of other TransTwitter refugees have shared their thoughts. So, mine:

I found an amazing, vibrant, fun community of trans folks, queer folks, and feminists over there. Made the best friends I've ever had. Three bridesmaids and a bunch of other wedding guests.

But keeping it fun required constant vigilance and maintenance. I blocked WAY more accounts than I followed. And whenever something I wrote went viral, I got very, very nervous. And if I was going to be offline for a while, I'd lock my account.

It's early days for me here, but I'm just not seeing those issues here.

I think I'm going to like Mastodon.

Now that we have a first edition of "is 5" as a reference, I've updated our table of contents to reflect the original publication.

It offers the God-mode challenge of writing the custom CSS to properly republish "life hurl my."

Who's up to take it on?

Hello!

I am a #constitutional law #professor who specializes in #speech, #religion, and women's rights.

I look at the First Amendment through an equality lens.

My latest article argues that public school teachers do NOT have a free speech right to misgender students: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4284105

Today I am working on a symposium piece about religious liberty challenges to #abortion bans.

Oh! Hey! The prompts for #Genuary2023 are posted!

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to participate this year, but I'll give it a try. Loved doing it last year!
