Unfortunately I have to stop actively working on #Metatext for a while due to health issues. I really wish I could implement Mastodon 4 features and squash every bug, but it's not possible for me to do so right now.

I wrote an article diving into the statistics on far-right extremist violence compared to far-left extremist violence, and to say the least, it’s not a “both sides” problem. An estimated 75% of extremist killings in the US over the past decade are attributed to far-right extremists, compared to 4% attributed to far-left extremists — and that’s on the high end of the estimates for far-left extremist violence.

For 3 weeks, I worked night and weekend.
It's pretty basic and rough (no client interface, basic Server to Server communication, don't try following me, it's not implemented yet lol)

I made it in the same spirit as Pleroma (❤️ :pleroma_fox_tan: ) something light and multipurpose
Instead of being a big monolithic server (like almost all ActivityPub projects), I target it being modular with bricks you plug-in to add functionalities or behaviours

Timed muting of accounts is an amazing feature of #Mastodon. I'm trying to get a 'clean' timeline, but I don't want to directly unfollow or fully mute some accounts, just because they are tooting a lot about a certain topic that I might not be interested in right now. Muting them for a few hours or a day allows me to cleanup my feed, while not hiding future content that I might be more interested in.
