Computers were a mistake

Brought to you by being on-call and writing really basic shell commands to confirm that I still know how to use a terminal, and I still know how to use an API—but rather this particular niche thing is being fucky

Nothing like getting nonsense in a terminal while paged and hangry to undermine years of building self-confidence

#introductions Hello, I'm Mouse! I just moved here from another instance, and still getting settled in. I've been a Linux user for...oh god 18 years now. I'm trying to be better at the whole social thing in general. So..yeah..Hi

Looking at where I am just two years into transition I am absolutely floored. Not really the physical stuff, more the social and presentation stuff. Every few days I have this thought that "3 year ago me would be so proud and surprised".

This particular realization was prompted by painting my toe nails today. Really though, anything I do anymore is so different that I have this thought about almost anything I do anymore.

As predicted - Texas power grid has gone off the rail and 90k our without power. Some day, Texas voters will stop voting for incompetence - it has a direct effect on their lives and life and death. That you believed this man that the grid was fixed should anger you, that you relected this man should anger you. Texas exceptionalism is a sham - now you're stuck with this man for another term.

Unrooted from solid truth of the ground,
I travel for over two million years,
spreading out from the lush valley of fruit
to follow every river from the sea
till I climb every lofty mountain peak,
always searching for Heaven of my dreams.

Once this idea came into my head, it refused to go away until I tried it. So now you can all share in my build of "Frosty the Glowman."

It’s OK Mother Earth. That happens to me when it’s cold too.

I will have an open #internship position @AaltoUniversity on #probabilistic #circuits.

The internship will be within Aalto's #AScI program, which is an excellent opportunity! See project 4116 in the announcement below.
