This is why I never want to learn esperanto. I am, however, looking for alternatives. This is why I'm currently learning toki pona, because that is a great "starter" language, so to speak. I actually think toki pona could be perfect as a community and/or interpersonal language, but it's also a good stepping stone for learning other languages.
No AI for a change :) just a short story. Very (in)appropriate for Easter, too! #writing #ShortStory #skulls #weblog

Thanks to the work of @rolle I just installed it on paperbay.org and it’s giving to Mastodon a look-and-feel very close to Twitter. It sounds like a heresy but it’s not. It makes the usability better.
I'm mystified and horrified by whoever it was that took the age-old "kids these days" feeling that everyone over 40 feels from time to time... and decided to make it into an "objective" GRAPH. I just want to know what the heck was going through their mind and they arbitrarily drew that blue line. Probably "this is pure genius" --
This is so offensive to math, statistics, numbers, graphs and statistics I don't know where to begin.

In 1936, Shilling joined The Royal Aircraft Establishment. 5 yrs later, she led a team that designed a device to prevent Merlin plane engines from stalling during flight, which helped the Allies win WWII.
Shilling was also the 2nd woman to earn a Brooklands Gold Star for lapping the track at >100mph. https://www.wes.org.uk/sites/default/files/u82/Magnificent%20Women%20-%20Beatrice%20Shilling.pdf #HistoryRemix #science #history #women
