If you take one thing from my little thread here it's this: Black people don't leave the fediverse because of openly racist people.
Just like Black people don't leave Boston or San Francisco because of the openly racist people. There are openly racist people everywhere.🤷🏿♂️
Black people leave the fediverse, Boston, and San Francisco, because of the behavior of the supposed "non-racist" people. The combination of extreme racism, and denial of its existence, is too much.

Yep. Anyone that's looked at the data for any major western social network sees this paradox:
The social network that grows, is the one where young Black and brown women, feel comfortable to create. No exceptions.
You can see in the BlueSky graph, the impact of one well connected Black woman (Aliafonzy). The big clump in the center is BlackTechTwitter (BlackTwitter + cool tech folk). Many of those folk are there because of her.
@shoq The Twitter Left may not, but there are plenty of politically active democrats who knock on doors and write letters.
What actions, specifically, do you wish liberals took more often?

I know it's hard to believe but I mostly keep this account to try to get people to watch my ant videos. (why I want people to watch ant videos is a question I can't really fathom...) I made a really good new video today with a time lapse that shows how heat sensitive Camponotus discolor are. They move their pupae constantly to maintain ideal development conditions.

‘Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man. You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet? And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope. I meet a lot of people. And, see some great looking babes. And a fire engine goes by. And I give them the thumbs up. And, and ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is, is we're here on Earth to fart around. And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And, what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around. And, we're not supposed to dance at all anymore.’

The Elcesaites were an early Persian Christian heresy that held they had a special testament from God, delivered by an angel which is described as 96 miles (154 km) high (337,920 cubits), 16 miles (26 km) broad (56,230 cubits) and 24 miles (39 km) (84,480 cubits) across the shoulders, whose footprints were 14 miles (23 km) long, 4 miles (6.4 km) wide and 2 miles (3.2 km) deep.
They professed a 40 day sequence of baptisms, and had special baptisms for special emergency scenarios.
