I gotta say it. With the help of RW media and Big Tech, Republican parents are raising a generation of sociopaths. All of the leaders in their movement - political, religious & otherwise - are teaching them that absolutely nothing matters except gaining & preserving power for Republicans.

Touchstones like citizenship, service, honor, tradition, facts, truth, faith, and family are malleable or disposable without consequence *if & when* they are in conflict with the pursuit of power. #politics

My earliest memories are of being a puppy

Sorry I can't hang out tonight, I'm naming my pet leeches after rare constellations.

I saw a rubber chicken in the middle of the street this morning.
We'll never know for sure why it tried to cross the road, but I bet it was for a laugh

As some of you may recall, I started offering mobile wallpaper as a win-win way to get something fun and support what I do in lieu of a Ko-Fi and all that. The first two haven't been runaway hits per se but there's been enough interest to think it's a fair idea to continue to add more options. ❤️

So I hope you might enjoy seeing the latest choice!

I believe in trans unity. Trans women and trans femmes have been almost universally kind to me, and I believe that we are natural allies with a lot in common. #LGBTQ #LGBTQIA #transgender #trans #TransUnity

Tankies love to say shit like "yaoi will be banned under socialism" and then act all confused when other leftists don't like them.

Astronomer Williamina Fleming was born #OTD in 1857. She developed a system to classify stars according to their spectra; cataloged over 10k stars; and discovered numerous novae, nebulae, and variable stars.

Sunny morning lakeside, Loweswater is another of our local spots.

Some nice spots to wander and the woods up to Holme Force waterfall are great, but can not walk along the shore completely due to landownership so you have to follow the road in places.

Still worth it for the bits you can walk along 😀

SUMMER DRINKING TIP: When someone says they’re not drinking/refusing the alcoholic beverage you’re offering, do not ask why.
Just offer a non-alcoholic option and move on.. because whatever the reason is, it’s almost always none of your business.✌️

I love Mastodon and I haven't been on Twitter for months. But I feel like I'm not meeting new people here and frankly a bit bored. I want to discover new voices and see more opinions, which is hard when there are no suggested people to follow. Tips anyone?

Did you know that a respirator helps with allergies?

If you wear your respirator when you are around pollen or pet dander, you most likely won't get your allergy symptoms.

Also, a properly worn respirator, like a N95 mask, prevents infection and spread of disease from all variants of the flu, as well as COVID-19.

Take care out there.

I just came up with a brilliant idea: ChatCEO.

All the buzzwords with the same amount of actual value, at a fraction of the cost!
