@DrPsyBuffy The French Paradox (the French eat butter and bread, smoke more than Americans and yet remain healthy) really needs to become The American Paradox: The country that has been so innovative in healthcare and technology is the only developed country to not offer its citizens universal healthcare due to the belief "someone else undeserving is getting something free."

Governments and business around the world have decided we aren't going to do anything about climate change. This much is obvious, if they were going to do something they'd have done it. What happens over the next decade or so is every time someone insists on saying the quiet bit out loud, the narrative will get advanced that protesting is an offence against society, not its leaders. Protestors will increasingly be painted as terrorists. This is necessary to take the wind out of their sails.
