Another day, another staggering image from #Artemis1. This one was taken right around the moment when the Orion capsule reached its maximum distance from Earth.

The best thing about this place is that there are no ads. I don’t know why this isn’t shouted about far more. I dread looking at my emails because there’s ads all through the damn thing. Ads everywhere on Twitter and Instagram. It’s a routine ugliness, a chore we’ve been told we must endure. But it’s not true.

This is the milky way over the Toadstool Hoodoos in Kanab Utah. A single exposure with haphazard light painting.

"Explosion of synthesis opportunities" was the prompt for this image generated by #midjourney.
The prompt is a quote from the abstract for the #AGU22 online session Frontiers in #WaterQuality Science: Origins, #Patterns and Detection of Spatial and Temporal Variation II

Unclear on how Mastodon works
So if I dive into some tiresome political thread or something, and make some witty or snarky comments or whatever, are my followers subject to those comments appearing (out of context) in their feeds, or are they spared that?

ChatGPT
I'm a bit flabbergasted today :) I finally got around to talking to #ChatGPT , and it's so good that it's boring. I've been staying in its comfort zone and not trying to social-engineer it, and just yow...

If you are like me and working here and on the broken-winged bird, beware if you follow sites like the #HolocaustMuseum and other factual sites. Elon is removing their followers. So much for his idea of #freespeech.

Hope I’m doing this right. First time trying to link video on Mastodon for #BlackFriday
The late great Michael K. Williams (The Wire) dancing in the park. #BlackJoy
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QMv_sgqq2Mk
He started in the industry as a dancer in music videos, became a choreographer, then an actor.
Looks like this was when were in the time of masking.
