LB: A subtlety that drops out of conversations trans people have when we're defending ourselves and our rights is that many of us continue to feel fondness for and kindship with the sort of men or women we were once percieved as being.

For me, thats butch lesbians and masculine women in general. I find it so unpleasant when transphobes accuse me of trying to wipe out butch or otherwise masculine women, because I remain such an admirer of that way of being in the world.
