Yvonne heard them coming before she saw them.
And this time she was ready. She had a wide-dispersion laser, and the best jammer implants money (and other things) could buy.
This time, she would be able to get out of the hotel without having to actually hit someone.
As they came around the corner, she activated the laser and the jammers.
The laser blinded the cameras, and the jammers blocked attempts at transmission. No paparazzi were getting publishable footage today!

Hi all! Writing an introduction or a bio is always a challenge, but here we go. I'm Shire, a thirtysomething in #Indiana, USA, currently focusing on personal and professional development as I rediscover who I am and where I fit in this not-really-post-pandemic world.

Art-wise: I absolutely adore #crochet and fiber arts in general, and have been working on designing some crochet patterns in the hopes of sharing them with the world. I'm also a #writer (mostly essays, but also trying my hand at horror fiction) and #baker.

Professionally, I am a #librarian focused on reader's advisory. If you ever need book recommendations, I'm your dude! My professional focus is improving access to libraries for LGBTQ+ people, which is currently an uphill battle, particularly in my home state.

I live with my partner and three cats. I'm also learning to play #bass and hope to start voice lessons again in the near future to regain my #singing voice.
