@remixtures well-recognized (hi-IF), free and open-source scientific journals exist since some time (eg. Plos and affilates). also big editors(nature, science) claim to move in this direction. the pubmed central initiative gives free access to thousands of articles, regatdless of the editor. it probably depends on the topics, but I don't know any scientific journal with an IF > 5 now accepting an article without data being released as open source. moving to the good 🚀

@Empiricism_Reloaded 5M. I would invest some in promotion of scientific methods, education on positive criticism and green energies.

@summeremacs In the end it was very good in #paris also. Tons of people in the streets (lots of from abroad 🥳) with smile on their face. I did not see any conflict or issue of any kind. Only positive mindset and people willing to have fun. I had great encounters and lots of fun 🎇🎇🎇

@camilledellerie poliement au sujet l'autorisation. il serait dommage qu'un photographe place l'interet qu'il estime de son art au dessus du respect d'un sujet qui n'a rien demande, au risque de lui porter un prejudice qu'il devra ensuite demontrer. mais je ne connais pas ton rapport avec les sujets que tu captures. @camilledellerie l'article que tu partages decrit precisement le contraire. on ne peut pas s'opposer a une prise de vue, mais il faut l'autorisation de la personne avant de la diffuser publiquement, ce que tu as fait. en pratique des suites legales necessitent que la victime (le sujet) apporte des elements demontrant un prejudice. mais dans les textes l'autorisation est indispensable. l'auteur de l'article explique justement qu'une approche plus constructive est de demander (1/2)

@coffeepine well it was exactly the way the tower has been received by parisians just after completion. One french writer (Maupassant I believe) even said : I eat at the first floor of the eiffel tower everyday. that's the only place in #paris where we can't see it 😜
