Seeing folks suggest it's legitimate for YouTube to ban ad-blockers because the site needs to be paid for somehow.

Here's my view... if the cost of YouTube is watching some ads, then fair enough. I can mute them after all, just as I do on my TV.

However, that's NOT the issue. The issue is less "having to watch ads" and more about the tracking and profiling technology embedded in those ads. I do NOT consent to that (and under EU law, I don't have to).

For @mitch_deadberg - we wanted to show you how we make South Indian Filter Coffee! This coffee (a 80:20 mixture of coffee / chicory) is made with a metal filter. This filter makes enough for about 2 times but you can find them in bigger sizes. You put about 2-4 tbsp of coffee depending on how strong you want it. You place the metal plunger on top, pour the water and then let the decoction brew. It usually takes about a half hour.

Went to “Café GEL Lab” in Narimasu for the first time today - a shop specializing in hand-made coffee jelly. We got the mocha jelly which came with some lightly-sweetened condensed milk for mixing. Took a walk to nearby Hikarigaoka Park to have it there, and I have to say the jelly was delicious. 😋
