Climate policy that relies on a shift to #ElectricCars risks entrenching existing inequities. Among MANY reasons to conclude that “better cars” alone won’t get us where we need to be, and in fact create/continue many issues & challenges. Fewer cars, less driving, more choices & better cities are all badly needed.

#Twitter sued for disproportionately firing female workers after Musk buyout

"The proposed class action, which was was filed late on Wednesday in San Francisco federal court, said that after Twitter was taken over by Musk, the world’s richest person, it laid off 57% of its female workers compared with 47% of men."

Do you REALLY want to know how your city could transform public transit virtually overnight to dramatically increase ridership? The answer is to change car lanes to dedicated bus-only lanes so buses won’t be stuck in car traffic, & run more buses more frequently on those lanes. You SHOULD INVEST more in transit to get those additional buses, but in the immediate term, reallocate near-empty buses from low density, low ridership areas to run them often on the bus-only lanes. #cities #publictransit
