The world is full of sadness and terrible news. The guilt I feel not discussing real issues is real. My life is 24/7 caregiving. You will mostly see cats and hear me say silly things. I’m deeper than that but I’m fragile. I listen to those who can articulate how to do better and I try to join the good people. I am thankful for the vocal brave who speak. Maybe one day I can speak more. Right now I follow. And I survive. And I try to share levity because life is heavy. I appreciate you. 💕

Hi everyone, here’s my #introduction.

I do GIS at British Antarctic Survey, working to improve and maintain GIS capability and spatial data access for scientists and logistics teams operating in Antarctica (this presents its own unique challenges 😅).

I do have many non-work interests and hobbies, but for now I’m using this to mostly focus on my professional life, and as a refreshing alternative to Twitter.

I moved into a different office last year. This particular office was occupied by en engineer who had worked for the company for over 35 years. I found some gems that I keep on display. For instance, here is a box of 8” diskettes still in the shrink wrap, circa 1989.
