This was once a drovers’ road for taking the cattle over the mountains to market. A road that has to be seen to be believed. It goes from sea level up to about 2000 feet and back to sea level over roughly 11 miles of the narrowest, twistiest and steepest strip of tarmac you can imagine. All worth the effort for the views though…

Firefall
Firefall is a relative newly discovered phenomenon discovered in Yosemite National Park not to be confused with the old firefall that was manmade.
This is a tough shot to get and some years it doesn't happen.
This is Horsetail Falls. In February, for roughly 10 days, the sun comes into alignment and reflects off of the rocks to create this phenom. So I finished #sewing this cute little sea pancake yesterday :D

I do have some experience handsewing because of embroidery (backstitch is useful all around!) but I haven't really sewn anything before. Came out perfect and super cute though!
