Nature is full of surprises. Meet Costasiella kuroshimae, an adorable species of sea slug known as “leaf sheep.”

At no more than 8mm, these tiny ocean critters graze on algae & keep chloroplasts in their bodies for up to 10 days. This is a throwback to a magical #winter morning in 2021.

I don't typically include man-made objects in my images, but as I was walking to some of my favourite local ancient trees, I noticed the mist gathering under the bridge.

Upon dropping down to the shore of the Broadwater, I realised that the sun would rise behind the bridge. Then the magic unfolded shortly after a flock of geese flew over me and landed on the water.

Foiling underway. Most of this glass is quite thin, so I’m using the narrowest gauge of copper foil I have to keep the visible edges folded down in the face of the glass from getting extra wide. I’ll do the white glass with a wider foil to keep that general measurement more consistent.
