1️⃣ A European Commissioner a hell of a lot better than Valean from 2024
2️⃣ An annual Cross Border Rail index from the Commission, so everyone knows where problems are
3️⃣ EU Member States brought to the Court of Justice if they're not building TEN-T lines as they're obliged to
4️⃣ EU funds for interoperable rolling stock (also a passenger stock pool) to allow routes to be run that currently don’t
5️⃣ Ban on scrapping trains

"Verkehrssicherheit ist nicht verhandelbar".
Diesen Satz als Munition gegen 🚲 verwenden, das ist eine rhetorische Meisterleistung!

Das erfolgreichste und hartnäckigste Meme des Industriezeitalters, ist die Erzählung, man brauche stets eine zwei Tonnen schwere Stahlmaschine mit irgendeinem Antrieb, um 80 Kilogramm Mensch von A nach B zu bewegen. If passenger rail is to make a major step forward, you need immense political will and operational change, nationally and EU-wide. And whatever squiggles some DB execs put on a map, I cannot begin to see that just now
