@Norobiik Likely a key factor if they were flying lots of sorties. The ATC transcript has the controller referring to 36R rather than 34R, which may have added to the confusion. Those JCG planes also don't have ADS-B transponders. Expect that to be the first recommendation.

Some great (and bad) armchair analysis and footage collated here too. Looks like the A350 was already on the runway, and the CG plan had not seen the incoming plane and had moved from its hold point on the taxiway.

@proactivepaul All 379 passengers and crew evacuated. Looks like the smaller CG plane took a full hit as the A350 was landing. So would have been a quick routine evacuation, thankfully, with minimal fuel load.

@nickbwalking Matthew Elliot has been trying to screw democracy for decades. Yes, Labour botched the devolution process and jumped to NE assembly referendum far too early in 2004. But he and Cummings were behind the no campaign which I remember deliberately trying to confuse voters. This derailed prospects for a more balanced UK political fabric and what they learned from their they took to the Alternative Vote and Brexit referenda.

The USA are forwarding a plan to the G7 to confiscate Russian assets in the West. Around 300 billion USD are currently frozen.

I have been saying this in the past that this is an untapped source of funds. There is also legal basis to confiscate that money as you can retrieve from the screenshot. The UNGA voted overwhelmingly in favor that Russia will have to pay reparations for the damage of the unprovoked war in Ukraine which Russia started.

I own 11 books on how to be a software engineering team lead or manager. At a guess, they total 900K–1M words. Exactly zero of those words are about working in the public sector or cooperative enterprises; *all* of them assume the reader is a for-pay employee of a for-profit company navigating unchangeable structures controlled by other people. I wish I knew enough to write something better—to say that yes, there *are* viable and rewarding alternatives to the Silicon Valley greed machine.
