Does anybody here follow the "digital Euro" legislative proposal (https://finance.ec.europa.eu/system/files/2023-06/230628-proposal-digital-euro-regulation_en.pdf) or knows people who know people who understand the technology (ideas) behind it? And ofc the privacy issues? Nice if a bit more recent than David Chaum's "Blind Signatures for Untraceable Payments" from 1983, and please no blockchain crap that also he worked on later.

I can’t wait to see all the news articles citing the huge spike in #Threads sign ups followed by the drop in traffic as an indication it’s a huge failure. Oh wait, sorry for that - those articles are reserved for free / open software / services: #Mastodon, #Linux, #Wikipedia, #InternetArchive, etc.
