If I could make a suggestion, the Fediverse does not have the strict post size limitations that twitter imposes, for example.

I do post about my personal Blog here too, announcing new pages, but I find it works best if adding some more info on a Fediverse / Mastodon post. Consider maybe:

- adding a snippet of text, maybe the opening paragraph of your page.
- adding a relevant image to the mastodon post

These could tell people more, and maybe get you a reader. There's a lot of posts flying by, and people will not click on a link blindly.

(I did, since I am a mod team member and feel obliged to check new posters linkage for security reasons)

@11112011 For many years, all my vehicles were VW. I loved the engineering. Only gave up on them when parts started getting ridiculously expensive, and me annoyed to be milked like that.

Happy with other brand now, more common, but I drive an European engineered model and enjoy it. :)

In the Fediverse (which includes a lot more than Mastodon instances), there are a lot of options - you can find instances that choose to limit certain kinds of content, or mandate that it be hidden under a "Content Warning" - so its content is hidden unless a user specifically clicks on a post to see it.

Something like "CW : USpol" for example.

In some instances this is mandatory and enforced. In some others, this kind of topic (or any others that the staff deem controversial or unacceptable) are banned all together as a way to preserve their local focus, etc.

The less censorship a user wants, the more crap they will see crossing their feeds, but there are MANY choices available.

What should we call this, a VW Beetle classic with a modern Subaru, 4 cylinder horizontal, "Boxer" engine?

A Dutch company makes conversion plates that allow fitting the newer and much more modern Subaru engines (various models supported) *without* ANY cutting into the VW chassis.

Very cool and elegant solution. New engines are liquid cooled, so there is some added plumbing to allow cooling apparatus

I had seen your posting daily and that is great discipline. I kept it up for a short time on my own blog, wasn't on a particular challenge but posting themes that interested me, and loved it.

Mastodon users have the option of turning off displaying of posts in certain languages -- a great time and space saver, specially on the federated feeds.
