(Screen capture above at Todon.nl, it is the same here at Qoto.org too -- See This new screenshot with a NEW TooT being written below. )

And while looking around at the Mozilla Extensions pages --> I ended up discovering a NEW one.

I didn't think it was possible to enhance the great User Experience I am having with AWI here at Todon.nl and at Qoto.org; the wonderful usage of my wide screen in the laptop.

Turns Out an excellent thing CAN get Better -- as demonstrated by this post. What's NEW ? Notice the two columns now expanded even wider? AND Better yet --> a Nice and BIG TooT Editor window, placed right under the Post I intend to reply to?

This is unreal. Love it! See Collapsed Mastodon extension for Firefox at :

A user who just moved to a very active instance, signaling her reasons. Got a few boosts and big welcome from her new instance locals.

Well done, @Oxana ! 😉

Just discovered this.

A new extension (add-on) for Firefox browsers that allows *easily sharing content* from all those web sites that have the *Twitter share* buttons.

Extension replaces it with new Toot Share button; you configure which Instance to use.

Hit share and it's on -- neat, simple, fast, cool.

Thumbs up, nice idea.

addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef

"Halcyon Share can replace Twitter Tweet buttons with Mastodon Toot buttons redirecting to a Halcyon instance which can be freely chosen by the user. It can also keep the Tweet button but make it smaller and add a Toot button next to it.

Halcyon is a open source webclient for Mastodon which makes it easier to use and more beautiful. Halcyon is hosted by many different people on independent servers, therefore no domain for the redirect is hardcoded."

@vjy I have not used TweetDeck, as twitter was never too productive for me, very little interactions happening there - even now, when I crosspost between here and there more frequently.

Get more interactions here in an hour than there in a full day. And more interesting ones here too, I must say.

Have seen the Halcyon client for mastodon, which runs as web hosted, web browser tab, mentioned as VERY similar to tweetdeck.

Maybe you could look at it and share some impressions? It would be nice, to get opinion from someone used to TD about it.

Todon.NL has a web hosted Halcyon instance, so it's easy to try it -- halcy.todon.nl/

[ And as I work on this post thread, I noticed a limitation that sadly is present -- I could not Delete/Redraft a post I had just made in Whalebird, and had a missing image I needed to include. Bummer, had to switch to default web client, to complete that task ]

I would say Whalebird is worth mentioning and considering -- testing it, maybe it will offer you things you are missing in other mastodon clients.

A lot of development effort has been focused into the Mobile side, but the Fediverse is so rich in content and projects to explore that I feel anything less than a full size keyboard and full Desktop Browser and client is WAY less than a power user would require.

Signing off for now, honours mention to WhaleBird for the wonderful design of the app and for allowing user control over display panel widths -- this is Unique, as far as I know.
