Polar Bear Chalky is still looking for a forever home.
He needs a quiet home.
And he needs insulin shots twice a day. This is very easy to do & we are happy to help with expenses.

#Health is #essential . Stop the Greed.

"Randy Suess, a computer hobbyist who helped build the first online bulletin board, anticipating the rise of the internet, messaging apps and social media, died on Dec. 10 at a hospital in Chicago. He was 74.

His death was confirmed by his daughter Karrie.

In late January 1978, Mr. Suess (rhymes with “loose”) was part of an early home computer club called the Chicago Area Computer Hobbyists’ Exchange, or CACHE. He and another club member, an IBM engineer named Ward Christensen, had been discussing an idea for a new kind of computer messaging system, but hadn’t had the time to explore it. Then a blizzard hit the Great Lakes region, covering Chicago in more than 40 inches of snow."

RIP, Randy, thank you.

And today I had a ball -- saw a post at another instance earlier, which inspired me to research and write today's Blog Du Jour.

The page about how to get Windows 10 Pro license key for a very low price (USD$11.79).

Very happy with the whole page - design, layout, writing all.

It was also totally produced right here on my laptop. Yesterday I struggled for a few hours, but went to bed happy that I had got my own Instance of write.freely running locally.

Now, I switch back and forth, between image editor, text editor, browser windows with remote sites and another with a localhost page -- where I create my page.

When it's complete, a quick copy-paste into my public Host for the blog and hit Publish, it's live in 10 seconds.

Many thanks to:

Get Windows 10 Pro Legal Key, Cheaply.

There are many people who need a license for a new or updated Windows 10 installation. The support for Windows 7 is expiring in one month from now – January 20, 2020.

If you don't have a license to install Windows 10 and have not yet previously upgraded to it, you can purchase a copy Directly from Microsoft here The cost at the moment showed as USD$199 !

My new Blog page shows a way to obtain a LEGAL key, atm costing only USD$ 11.71 .

See it here: https://write.tedomum.net/rgx/get-windows-10-pro-legal-key-cheaply

Little touches, nice touches.

Command line running, show success loading config, starting up, serving page to local user. Yes!!

First screenshot of my locally hosted Write.freely instance.

That wasn't easy, took hours and a lot of tinkering for me, not used to MySQL and all.

But I got it. Wouldn't recommend it casually, in my case it's mostly to see how does the process work, and can use to write my blog locally, copy complete post to public host.

Documentation for installation is pretty limited, and for Windows users, worse yet.

But it IS possible. Maybe tomorrow I will think it's easier, lol. 😛
