That is really what made me be really happy about it (a good group, being accepted...)

If some people like Paul have mixed feeling about it just because of what is going on in the instance, the need is really to educate on the instances to avoid losing so many cool people!

Yes that is what I heard about Mastodon.social. I actually think you mentioned it @design_RG yourself.

So for so many reason, I understand that this is not the place I'd like to go.

Smaller ones suits me best. And I know that I won't go there.

@design_RG @hansw @globcoco Yeah; for me, joining an instance with a good community, finding good locals to follow, and following people who engage with them has helped keep my timeline busy without a whole bunch of unwanted content like porn popping in my feeds. I very rarely use the Public Timelines anymore, save at night when I'm looking for new users who are across the globe.

Hello my dear friend.

It took me a hell of a long time to write to you.
I think I wanted to level what you shared and I guess it made me quite speechless. Still am actually. 😊

You definitely know how to write that's for sure!

Even before reading the body of your post, the title *Nomad is my Heart* resonated so strongly with me that I was already moved before reading the rest of it.

A nomad heart means a curious explorer with an avid desire to open oneself up and go further that its own beliefs and limitation on what he-she takes for granted in life and what he-she thinks can do or not do.
That's definitely what traveling has helped me with.

Another side of it has been about the subject of how I use resources: I can sense when energies goes down and I have for a long time thought it was my own fault so for a place to recharge I let it be. I guess it was also good for me to recharge my own batteries and Yes discovering new places brings me always excitement.

With permaculture principles I'm hoping I will some day learn what it means to help make a place renewed recharged and vibrant...

Doing what you do and sharing who you are be it in poetic form or a more factual one is definitely helping a lot of us.

So keep on exploring my friend and share your meandering with us.

I have just finished posting a new Suggestion issue at Glitch-Social's Github.

...which summarizes the findings I described in a Forum post, and requests consideration of the idea of adding these enhancements into the Glitch-Social code base.

If that was done, and the source for Eskuero's Collapsed Mastodon is available for review and adoption, all users could benefit, without the need of using an add-on, and better compatibility with future releases as changes are made.

Yes.

There's Work in Progress, a Qoto-Roma so to speak (being creative here, might not stick).

I am wondering too, as it's something I am getting adamant about.

Mastodon limitations are Intentional in some cases, and I am tired of waiting for progress.

I am charting my own course and sailing the seas, finding nice harbours and dropping in.

Won't stay using mastodon much longer, as I already have nice Glitch-Social and Pleroma accounts.

Hopefully it will happen here too, as I have a lot invested in this instance, my main account.

@fristi Fristi started, like a number of other Admins, at FAB (the instance also know by an unpronounceable name) (ok, it's Absturztaube -- fedi.absturztau.be/ )

...fristi started at FAB, like I was saying; and like many others, started her own Pleroma node.

FAB is also considered the Mothership, I am realizing. Like mastodon.social for this side of the network (except, FAB is much, much nicer and cooler. NO comparison)

And she has an AWESOME listing, on her own instances, of Kudos and Friends instances.

A great idea! Thanks, Fristi for mentioning -- this is prime material, upcoming Blog page will include mention and your list.

-- my Blog post yesterday on Pleroma as an Alternative to Mastodon was surprisingly well received.

I have received messages from various people, asking for recommendations of good Pleroma instances to join.

And i am working on it. Serious. As I write here, I am logged in and chatting with friends I just met, all in various Pleroma nodes, that responded to my post there, thanking the admin for the service.

I will prepare a detailed Blog post, with more suggestions and reasons, but for now, kudos and a mention are appropriate.
