Thinking of Roger Penrose and Tiles Pattern

Just now, this morning, at a Mastodon instance called Todon.nl, a user named benignstein (@activationfxn@todon.nl) posted a small series of Toots.

They got my attention, as they included some images of an intricate Tile pattern, so I started to read and follow the successive posts. All small in length, but when put together tell the story and get us into an uncharted territory, discovering new things.

IBM keyboards are worth hoarding!

"Samuel Pepys FRS was an administrator of the navy of England and Member of Parliament who is most famous for the diary he kept for a decade while still a relatively young man. Pepys had no maritime experience, but he rose to be the Chief Secretary to the Admiralty under both King Charles II and King James II through patronage, hard work, and his talent for administration. His influence and reforms at the Admiralty were important in the early professionalisation of the Royal Navy."

Samuel Pepys, have you met?

He was a quite interesting Englishman, who wrote extensive diaries of his life in the 17th century. some of the writing is very good for research, talking about meeting his many gentlemen friends at London's Cafés - at the time the Royal Society was beginning.

A Japanese penpal just asked me on birdsite, this unexpected but delightful question.

If I had a chance to rent a car for 24 hours and take an Actress with me, where would I like to go.

And who would the actress be?

Already responded to her there, wonder what #fediverse thinks ?

Just finished writing a new blog page. It's live now, and contains a complete letter to a penpal friend I met via the neat Slowly app (iOS, Android and Web mode for PC, laptop)

Watch out for strange accounts coming to Follow you, out of the blue with ZERO posts.

I have detected and blocked a couple - and noticed they include a Dating site with a Russian web address.
