Second, Meta’s inability to know and account for how it uses data internally not only makes it impossible to comply with the DMA, but also infringes the GDPR, too. This is directly relevant to the DMA.

1/ Have you noticed that results returned by #search engines like #Google seem to be becoming progressively less useful? Despite Google's best efforts & frequent algorithm changes, the #SEO industry seems to be winning the battle to render the #web perfectly vacuous & entirely useless.

Today's big thing: another meeting with the CMA, the UK's tech regulator, to further discuss the details of the upcoming Digital Markets Unit and the #AppleBrowserBan. It's really quite reassuring that Open Web Advocacy (https://open-web-advocacy.org/) have been asked for contributions by so many governments and regulators. If you'd asked before we started I'd have said nah, they only listen to deep pocket big enterprises and deregulation types, and this turns out to entirely not be the case.
