@Elucidating idk if things like flight numbers are designed to never have any 2 of the 3 in, for instance

Just noticed that my simple web app for creating polls to decide on dates for events has ticked over 100 votes (no more info than that, as it auto-deletes 10 days after polls close). I think that means more than 50% of the polls and votes are from events not run by me, which is nice.

I wish more people in large orgs understood how much of a burden you put on somebody by sending them a PDF and asking them to fill it out and send it back. The software you are asking people to find and learn is absolutely some of the worst software in the world.

Some may wonder why so many people talk about #starfield these days.

Here's why: for The Black Hole (1979), the model of the USS Cygnus was filmed in front of a starfield, not a blue screen.

#ICYMI: The legal theory surrounding Trump's ability to run in 2024 has taken a curious turn. Explore the legal arguments, experts' views, and potential impact Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment may have on the upcoming election. thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p

@tdp_org if they'd be warning off the RAF plane, its possible the three (or 4 if you count the ground controller) were on a common frequency already

Does this story imply that the UK can decrypt Russian military comms? Surely they don't broadcast unencrypted?
Wondering whether the timing (~1 year from the incident) suggests it takes time to decrypt or whether the timing is related to rules rather than tech.
Anyone know?

@futurebird: My takeaway: If not for the ants, corporations might be considered the dominant species on the planet already (and with insecticides and climate change, corporations might yet win).

@rm4@mstdn.social latest massively over priced technic crane is already 30% off at some shops, so same could easily happen here
