Thinking about this old comment https://mastodon.social/@mcc/111434729281599085 (both I and others I've seen have made this comment before) and I think I just this moment realized how to get this daydream feature: make your own packages, with names like "andi-cosmic-project", with no files, and list the packages you were going to `apt install` as deps. Then later you can uninstall your "project" package and anything not needed can be autoremoved because they're just dependencies not "installs". I wonder if that's hard.
