Oh hell yeah. @mozilla is launching a Mastodon instance in early 2023! I’m very excited for this. Mozilla is really good at what they do. Firefox has over 200M monthly active users, and with any luck they’ll build better support for the fediverse into Firefox itself. Mastodon will greatly benefit from easy to use professionally run instances that can handle massive scaling https://blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/mozilla-launch-fediverse-instance-social-media-alternative/
Reading through timelines on a few instances and noticing some awesome image descriptions. One was a weather forecast graphic, with details! As a blind person this is amazing and refreshing. I know sometimes words are hard for people and I get that. But, when you can and do add the descs, thank you!
I’m sure that the folks who’ve been on Mastodon for 6 months or a year or longer feel like they are under siege. I assume this was once a quiet and peaceful place until all of us #TwitterMigration folks showed up.
So, thank you.

This beauty was on Bainbridge Island in the Pacific Northwest, but was cut down by a developer shortly after I took this photo. I still cry for the loss of this tree.

Apparently there are people out there who think it's inappropriate to use Mastodon to talk about books you've written or promote projects you've worked on because it's marketing and self-promotion?
I am not one of those people. I implore you to write about the work you have done and the things you have made - I want to hear about that stuff!
