I was woken up today by a phone call letting me know that due purely to budgeting changes I’ve been let go from my full-time contracting position I just started in January after being laid off in September.
I am a former #Apple #engineer with 15 years of experience making apps for #iOS and #macOS. I also have experience with #Ruby. Available immediately for full time or contract work.
Please boost. #Swift #RubyOnRails
@collin Sadly I have no real jobs to offer in ruby.. That said if it interests you I have offered money to any developer interested in developing a few features into mastodon that I would like to use... It wouldnt come close to proper hourly pay but might be some money in your pocket plus whatever you develop is open-source.. might get you a little spending money anyway...
Let me know if interested, will be on the generous side for open source bounties at least
@DrSandraDuffy I am very much pro-refugee.. but what do you mean by "international law"? Which law? Set where and how? Usually when people use this term they are referring to a treaty or something, which treaty? Binding to what countries?
@Floyd Nice, lets you appreciate the results more I'm sure :)
@ambihelical All that info can be found in our configuration repo: https://gitlab.com/scentech/nixos-config
@coreyspowell@mastodon.
Strictly speaking that smell comes from the soil, not rain. Particularly wet soil.
Also not to be confused with the smell of ozone which accompanies thunderstorms.
@SteelFolk two points (the stars) and a line (the horizon) technically :)

@freemo People don't seem to understand what I mean when I hope Russia has a Romanian Christmas.
@ambihelical what do you want to know?
@mian That sounds legit. Though doesnt change the fact that ultimately abolishing communism was still the triggering effect to accelerate tech adoption.
@AncientGood I use pass, I could do something similar there I suppose. But i want something a bit more streamlined I think.
Anyone have any suggestions fgor cool linux-oriented ways to sync bookmarks between systems and browsers? Bonus points if it does something cool with that on top of it (encryption, a social element, a way to share the bookmarks, whatever).
One day I will witness bernie actually being right about something... one day
