@rbreich One of the few times you arent wrong... congress being bought off by lobbiests is a legit concern for sure.

I just want to say two important things..

First the recent school shooting is a tragedy and we should all be sad about the death of any children, especially as a victim of muder.

Second, we have to realize, for the sake ofperspective, how unfathomably rare it is for a child to die in a school shooting in america. It seems common because america is huge and the news makes this stuff public. But the numbers are more telling.

To put some numbers to it the chance of a child dyingin a school shooting in a public shool on any given day is 1 in 614 million. For comparison the chance of a person getting struck by lightening on any given day is **less** than 1 in 370 million.

In other words a child is more than **twice** as likely in the USA to get struck by lightening as they are to die in a school shooting.

Should we still mourne and be outraged by it... sure.. does that mean it is a problem that is common enough to be a huge concern... not really. We should probably put more effort into addressing the "lightening problem" than we should be about addressing school shootings.

@1iceloops123 haha.. there is, as with most lies, a bit of truth.. dogs are dichromatic, humans are trichromatic. So humans can distinguish colors dogs cant... likewise animals that are greater than trichromatic (like matntis shrimp) will see two things that look like the same color to us as different colors (even when those colors are not in IR or UV and are well within our color range).

It is also kinda funny this dude who lied about me, and got called out by random people screams harassment...

mind you I never asked anyone to call them out or contact them. They lied, I posted screenshots showing they lied.

But then in the same breath this person posts directly at me, knowing I silenced him, and asked people explicitly to circumvent my silence of them and copy and paste his message to me.

Hmm.. I am harassing you for random people pointing out you are a liar when i provide proof.. but totally cool if you actively tell people to send me messages on your behalf when your silenced.

Thats not how this works, thats not how any of this works....

I literally just saw this from 2022... While I was busy not caring apparently this dude was posting shit online, and calls it "harassment" when a bunch of people with no association with me, many from his own server, called him out for lying about me... really weird definition of harassment.

Ogh and for hte record a quote-toot is simply a link that gets inserted into a toot.. If you think its harassment to link to things you say about me **pubblicly**, particularly when your busy lying about me and I've posted the reciepts to proof it.... well.. yea weird definition of harassment.

Id say that sums up my sentiments fairly well.. though perhaps im a bit more harsh on both sides.. But yea its pandering, real solutions dont seem to be the goal of either side for...w ell.. anything.

@stux Nice, looks like an exciting project.

@stux yea ark is an online multiplayer game, though also has a single player option.

But it isnt one massive world for everyone. Its broken up into lots of smaller servers and each server has hundreds or more people on it or sometimes just a few. More like minecraft in that sense.

@naciketas The only thing worse than a republican is someone who thinks a democrat isnt as bad as a republican :)

@stux A bit more coding and you almost have a game that is entierly indistinguishable from ARK :)
