Cops are arrested less often than civilians, therefore we know cops are good people.

(also in case it wasnt obvious).

@AmpBenzScientist Kimber rapide dawn is probably the nicest 1911 out there (at 1600$ I hope so :)).

Isnt a double-stack 1911 a 2011?

@Pjcoyle Nope. The little piece you need to take out to take off the top slide (the same button you hit to release the slide) doesnt come out very easily and requires a tool to push it out.

Ive really been dialing it in with my practice(continued)...

This is my Baretta 92x Performance Defensive with a few custom mods, 9mm, 50 rounds at 10 yards.

@LouisIngenthron I can see some reasons the design might be popular with some. A good exampleis that it is one of the few only single action pistols (most are DA or DA+SA)... for some that may be a safety feature (as it is hard to accidentally go off if you uncock it). The single stack also gives it a nice feel in the hand.

But I agree, if all platforms came out today for the first time I dont think 1911 would come out on top, and its the historic aspects thatlikely cause that overall.

Jimmy Carter was right. The USA should have adopted the metric system.

Inside of you are two wolves. Behind one of them is a tiger. The other one always lies.

@rchrd Yea its great. the drawback seems to be int he 1911 design in general, just not easy to field strip.. otherwise seems like a nice platform and amazing when the kimber makes it.

@rchrd My baretta 92x performancd defensive is my best overall, adustable trigger easy breakdown, customizatiomn options, and hits the target.

Now if all i care about is shooting id say my kimber 1911 is a very close second.

I was expecting a lot out of my 1911 handgun as its such a popular model, and admitidly its one of my nicest guns to shoot. But my god its also the biggest pain in the ass to field strip too. Cant even do it without a few handtools...

@saramg As an engineer/scientist in my 40s I can confirm most of this :)

Hiring a software engineer in their late 40s:

Pros:
* Understands your stack better than you do after glancing through the repo for five minutes.
* Will rewrite said stack 2x as fast, and half as buggy if you let them.

Cons:
* Gives zero fucks.
* Knows we're not *really* like family here.
* No, seriously, absolutely zero fucks given.

Do not cite the deep magic to me, product manager, I was there when it was written.

@Paulos_the_fog

I wouldnt go so far as to say its the worst. You have countries like Russia, and quite a few other countries where being trans is literally illegal (as is being gay and other LGBT violations).

@turboquokka @ariaflame @trinsec @pattykimura

@ech

Yes but separately, not as a qualifier on this. They list a few things as illegal and stripping is separately listed as illegal.

@laurahelmuth

@ech

While a strip show would be illegal im not sure things that are simply suggestive of sexuality would be illegal already.

The wording is a bit problematic for its vagueness.

@laurahelmuth

@ech

You are correct about it saying "male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to a prurient
interest".. however that is **not** the same as saying stripping. But it does imply that it must be of a sexual nature to be prohibited.

I agree with you, the article misrepresented the specific wording of the law.
