You claimed it doesnt happen. Only need one to prove you wrong and invalidate your argument.. why would i wastetime getting 2 or 10? Anyobe with two braincells knows there aremore examples than just this one in all of time and history. It was abserd you asked for one.
@Tealk One thing though.. I think you only get the messages if you have claimed the instance... Since all these instances werent claimed and I just garunteed them anyway, I dont think they would have gotten notified. The bot wouldnt know how to reach them.

Bring this up in the support channels, maybe they can change the channel instance. It should be an instance that does not block anyone.

Ahh that explains it.. botsinspace has me blocked.. (it was kinda messed up they blocked me then lied to me when i was trying to debug me and told me I wasnt... wasted most of a day only to find out later I was).

But you do realize that every admin of the instances you guarantee gets a DM fromm fediser?
@Tealk Oh they do... no I didnt realize that.
When I got guaranteed and endorsed twice I did not receive any DM. I just checked now. If I had known that I wouldnt have tagged them :( Are you sure?

@SpaceLifeForm As far as I know these databases keep data for a very long time, if not forever. I do know doctors medical notes expire eventually but I dont think these do.
So i spent a few hours guaranteeing 20 instances, and adding about 25 or 30 endorsements/censors/hesitations.
I love the idea and I think it has a LOT of potential.
Regardless I want to list it all here so the effected instances can be aware and if they wish respond/react. You can read my reason for endorsement of any of the below servers in the links provided.
I suppose this can also double as my #FollowFriday #FF !

Anyone currently garunteed by a sponsor on the chain of trust automatically is added themselves to the chain of trust. Likewise they can now add others.
The only person who can kick someone out of the system is the person who garunteed you, they can revoke their garuntee. At which point you can ask for a garuntee from anyone else int he chain and only 1 person needs to support you.
So its largerly a decentralized open system with no one dictator.

No one from the chain of trust has garunteed them though. Sinc ethe criterial for chain of trust is "not spam" I would expect Pawoo would be accepted but Poast would likely not get in.

sure, thats the beauty of a chain of trust... IF the viewer doesnt like someone int he chain of trust he can label them as "censured" at which point, you would eliminate that whole section of the chain for you (as I understand it)... so that sort of action has no effect.

Not really.. there was a movement a while back to fake the numbers where hundreds of one-user instances were formed to block us just to artificially inflate the numbers to make it look like we are blocked. We remain one of the top servers in terms of federation footprint (last I checked was top 30)

What do you mean by "strong blocked"... I support this because tis the first system built off an open democratic system that appears to work in a way where bullying wont game the system very well (due to chain of trust implementation... assuming the top level is responsible).

As I understand it it does a few things:
1) Only system administrators can get accounts, but users can view the data
2) a chain of trust which in and of itself only proves you arent a spammer. Anyone in the chain of trust can add other instances. Once an instance is in the chain then their admin can get an account and contribute
3) an instance in the chain of trust can add up to 20 other instances to the chain of trust. Should the instance loose their trust from their parent then the entire chain breaks including instances it trusted.
4) You can add endorsements.. this is stronger than adding someone to the chain of trust. It is a way of you saying "this is a good server" and explaining what features make them a server you endorce
5) You can censure instances too, these are instances you block and give reasons why.
6) there are also lesser categories like hesitations where you can list concerns but not suggesting blocking.
7) All this can be automatically populated from your instances black/white list if you wish. Or you can add entries manually
8) you get a little badge you can put on your servers about me that shows the number of endorsements you have live.

**An apology to the whole fediverse**
I wanted to apologize to everyone as I've been rude and harsh with many of you as of late. Regardless of if it was in response to disrespect or not, that is not in line with my own moral views, it was wrong of me.
My philosophy moving forward is no matter how bad a person I may think you are, no matter how cruel or deserving it may seem you are of an attack, my options will be to respond with compassion or not at all. That said I will continue to call out bad actors in a blunt but constructive way. I will try my best that should I provide a personal criticism I do so with a tone of respect and kindness.
While I can say the recent change have been due to some pretty monumental stress and life changes I've been dealing with (a physical assault and death threat from the Israeli Mob), that does not make me any less accountable. But I do want people to know why.
My deepest apologies to anyone effected, both on #QOTO and off. I will try better to be more compassionate in my words and actions moving forward and should anyone feel I fail to do that I welcome you to point me back to this post.
